Brief Job Description

Our client, part of an international investment management group, is looking to hire a Head of Risk Management for its Dublin office. With responsibility for the risk management function, the role will involve:

  • evaluating all risk exposures of the company and implementing risk policies and procedures to mitigate these risks
  • developing a risk management function to meet the requirements of Solvency II
  • monitoring risk in investment pricing
  • liaising with other risk management, actuarial and internal audit divisions of the group internationally

The successful candidate will be involved in developing the risk function for our client and the role offers excellent opportunities for career progression.

Requirements for this Role

The successful candidate will be a qualified actuary with experience working within a risk management function in financial services. A thorough knowledge of Solvency II requirements is essential.

    John graduated from University College Dublin in 1993 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and later went on to complete an MBS in the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business.     Marcus graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (1988) and a Masters of Business Studies degree (1989).  He then joined Arthur Andersen where he trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
